AdBlue® Price Changes

Automotive Grade Urea used to manufacture AdBlue® is produced from natural gas. The price of natural gas is presently at a record high globally. Low gas inventories and increased demand from outside Europe combined with reduced imports means that the cost of producing urea is extremely high. As the current high gas price shows no signs of slowing, urea manufacturers have taken the decision to implement either plant shutdowns or hefty energy surcharges with immediate effect.

The levels of these surcharges along with tight urea supply into the UK, as well as the increasing cost in the supply chain means that we are not able to absorb all these increases and we will therefore have no option but to unfortunately increase our AdBlue® prices, on all our product pack sizes with effect from Wednesday 1st December 2021.

Given that urea prices are currently out of control we will continue to monitor the situation closely and review AdBlue pricing on a monthly basis, so that when costs drop you will see the benefit of the drop in our pricing straight away, we would also advise to sticking with normal ordering patterns to help minimise any further risk We hope you understand this is an unprecedented measure we are now taking to ensure our AdBlue® supplies to you are not compromised during this difficult & turbulent time.

Your understanding and support on this matter is highly appreciated. If you wish to discuss this further, please do not hesitate your key account manager or our lubricant office at Farrington Gurney 01761 452222.
